Customer:  I am not interested because the rate on your card is too high.  I am thinking of canceling the account so I am not going to buy anything.

Marketer:  We are not selling you anything.  (Bank’s Name) is offering to lower the interest rate on your existing card and balance and change your card to a Rewards Platinum…
